Hi,

Do you have a minimum criteria for average daily volume on any stock/ETF you trade. I understand if the volume is too low the stock can easily be manipulated and you also may have trouble liquidating your position.

I've heard different options on this topic. A lot of people say they don't touch anything with less then 1 million. I think there are a lot of missed trades if you follow that rule though.

I am thinking a safe amount would be 500-750k.

Thoughts?

Our filters are set on 1 million avg daily Volume, which omits many Investments.

But as long as there are plenty to own, we would rather have to High Volume for liquidity and the ability to Sell Call options.

500k would be the lowest we would want to go.

Thanks for writing!

Thanks for clarifying!!

I also noticed that in the last week you have mentioned "spread indicator"

Is this type of indicator/chart available anywhere besides Stockcharts.com? I currently use Think or Swim and am wondering if it may be available?

Thanks

The Spread Indicator is a simple home made VISUAL of the Minus or Opposite Index on Top of the Index.

Chart below is the -SPX on TOP of SPX (Go Long when WIDE Apart, take Profits when narrowing ENDS).
