Hi - just curious if a stop at the close means only sell if the stock will close below the stop level vs a normal stop being an immediate sell if the price is hit.  Thanks

Yes, we like to wait for a Close because the Market Makers sometimes will "run the Stops". Then they will Buy from the ones selling, if the Selling is lite...

Search the Forum for Sell Stops for more info.

Hi - can you please explain the new stop on OSUR?  Why are we using the green line now instead of the 50 day?  Thanks

Good question. It looks like OSUR is having a Secondary Offering (Bad News), and we don't like to Sell on Bad News and take a 19% loss (we use the Closing Price to log trades). So we are betting on a bounce up near the Pink Line in few days to get a better EXIT. Or maybe keep it Longer Term.

thanks - is it common for stocks to sell off and then bounce in these situations rather than sell off completely?

If you had OSUR and Sold it Way Above the Green Line at $18, when would you Buy it back?

Hopefully this decline is a Correcting Wave down (Impulse Wave was from $5.22 to $18.27 = $13).

Normal Correction is about 1/2. or $6.50. Target $11.77.
